Land grabbing- an unfortunate trend.

One wonders to what extent some administrations are willing to go in order to support foreign investments that have the potential to jeopardize their citizen’s stability and livelihood. As reported by Oxfam, the recent surge in the practice of ‘land grabbing’ suggests that some governments are willing to go very far.

Imagine waking up one day to be told you’re about to be evicted from your home. Being told that you no longer have the right to remain on land that you’ve lived on for years. And then, if you refuse to leave, being forcibly removed by hired thugs.
