On February 2nd, Victor Leiva was shot and killed. A founding member of the arts collective Caja Ludicia, which provides spaces for community involvement, and allows personal expression through arts.
Yesterday, collective members and supporters gathered in the city’s central park to pay homage to Victor and demand an investigation in his murder.
We join others in calling for resolution in Victor’s case and an end to the violence against youth seeking change through the arts and cultural work. We all have the right to be young, to seek change, to dream of a better world.
