About the Social Justice Committee

The Social Justice Committee (SJC) of Montréal has been working to raise awarness of the root causes of hunger, poverty and repression in the world through our education programs since 1975. We work in solidarity with organizations in a number of Third World countries toward a more just and sustainable global socio-economic system.

Our mission is to :

  • Analyze the underlying structural and global causes of poverty, human rights violations and other social injustices.
  • Contribute to informed public participation in eliminating these injustices.
  • Work through education in solidarity to transform our wold into a just society.

The SJC depends on financial support from its members and the genral public. It is a registered charitable organization and donations are tax-deductible.
